The program prepares participants to work at
a professional level in the human services
industry in such areas as community
organisations traditional community church
organisations self-help organisations and
statutory services.
The program is comprised of classroom study
with industry fieldwork an integral part of
the training.
TAFE now has full AIWCW accreditation for
our Diploma of Community Welfare Work. This
means international students can now be
assessed for recognition as a welfare worker
for migration to Australia under the skilled
migration scheme.

program will enable an individual with this
qualification to
- apply their techncial and other skills to tasks, roles and functions in varied and highly specific contexts

- be responsible for the planning and management of the work of others
Assessment
Assessment is
undertaken throughout the course both in
practical and theory exercises. Assessment
is competency based and requires the
completion of all projects and assignments
written and/or practical as set out within
the Unit Study Guides and Workbooks. Written
verbal and practical assessments make up the
majority of assessments attendance general
attitude and your application to your
studies are also taken into account.
