The objective of
the Australian Government in setting up the Business
Migration Scheme is to attract individuals who have
had an overall successful business career, can demonstrate
a high level of management skills in major business,
or who can demonstrate an overall successful record
of eligible investment activity. The applicant must
also display a genuine commitment to settling in
Australia and to pursuing business activities that
will benefit the country.
Successful business
applicants are granted a provisional visa for four
years and after establishing the required level
of business or maintaining their eligible investment,
they can apply for a Business Skills Residence Visa.
The 4-year provisional visas listed below provide
prospective business migrants the opportunity to
trial their intentions in Australia rather than
making a permanent decision. It enables applicants
the ability to liaise and gain feedback from Australian
State/Territory Government agencies on the demographics
of business in Australia, to conduct market research,
meet local citizens and also provides the opportunity
